Pro Tips With Trigg Slonski
1. Now that the golf season is on its way I see many golfers out practicing on the driving range. If you are like myself, and do not have 4 to 5 hours a day to practice, then making the most of the practice time you do have is key! The best way to do that is to always pick a target either being a flag on the range, or even some trees at the back of the range. This will replicate the thoughts and mechanics that are present on the golf course. You will get more out of
practicing for 30 minutes with a target than an hour without.

2. One of the most important aspects of the game that is commonly overlooked by beginners as well as the avid player is the grip pressure. This simply meaning how hard you are holding on to the club. It should be firm but relaxed. A good analogy I use for juniors is the image of holding on to a baby bird in your hands. You do not want to hold on too tight and kill the baby bird but you also do not want to let him get away. The most common mistake is holding on too hard which does not allow the club to release through impact decreasing club head speed which produces lost yardage and control.

3. Are you a beginner golfer that is self conscious about holding up play? If you are you are not alone. I have a few ways to make sure your time on the golf course is enjoyable. The first and most important tip I can give you is to simply call your local pro shop ahead of time and ask when would be a good time for you to come out and play. At every course there are slow days and slow times of day that would render a stress free round. Secondly, if you are golfing out of town or on a course that you are not familiar with, make sure that the course is not too difficult for a beginner golfer. This can be done also by calling the pro shop ahead of time or looking at a golf course?s score card before hand. Take these steps and I guarantee a more enjoyable golfing experience because after all the game should be fun!
